– Torn paper, graphite, chinamarker, hair, foil, and paint on paper.
These works are studies in creating order and meaning from chaos through experiments of form and material. They are meant to play a counterpart to my text based draw-
ings. I incorporate found materials such as envelope patterns, paper scraps, as well as personal collections of items which include
hair clippings, belly button lint,
and candy wrappers. These works examine honesty through experiment-
ation in material, form, and process, while responding to intuitive impulses of mark making, and the liminal areas between order and chaos, balance and instability.
